I’m Offended

An advertisement in Los Angeles is getting a lot of free advertising. So, everybody wins. It’s “wildly controversial”! If you say so.

You know what’s offensive? People pretending to have a debate over “controversial” images like this for the sake of television ratings and page views kids. If you really cared about kids (because it’s always about “the children”), you wouldn’t be having them in the first place and bringing them into a world full of people who depend on dumb cell phone “hook-up apps” to combat their lonely, miserable existence.

  1. I joined Manhunt for a month when they were doing a discount promotion and was very upset when the other members didn’t look like the ones in their advertisements.

  2. Welcome to “a world full of people who depend on dumb cell phone “hook-up apps” to combat their lonely, miserable existence.”

They should totally use that for their ad copy.

or “Manhunt. 30 minute hook-up. No need for pretense. Because let’s be honest anyone who spends an hour with you wants to eat their own hand anyway.”

I think either speaks to the core demographic.

  3. How is this any different from overly sexualised jewelry billboards featuring mostly nude women wearing a string of pearls that only cover their nips?
