Now it’s unfunny, sophomoric crap. Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader and Will Forte are great performers, they’re just rarely given good jokes or concepts.
The humor is homophobesploitation. It’s all about trying to “gross out” the audience with gay sex or humiliate a character with gayness/effeminacy, because the audience thinks gays are so gross. “Let’s exploit how disgusted by gays everyone is by twisting it in their faces for laughs.” An old, comedy standby. Hardy. Har. Har.
