The Sword is saddened to report that the gay porn world is mourning the loss of former performer Kyle Ross, whose death by car accident was confirmed by Helix in a tweet earlier this week.
The studio posted this on Tuesday:
Ross had been posting from his trip in Florida on social media in the days leading up to his passing:

Ross then posted on April 23rd about how he was refused boarding on his American Airlines flight from Miami to San Diego. The details are unclear, but Ross seems to indicate he was denied boarding because the boarding clerks told him he didn’t submit the paperwork for his service animal in time. Ross posted afterward and the next morning that he had to sleep in his rental car because the four local hotels were all booked—and as a result, his multiple sclerosis medication was ruined by the heat:
Here’s how @AmericanAir treats their customers. They could have easily accommodated my flight but get off by not doing so? All hotels are booked so I’m fucked and it’s costing me several hundred dollars to sleep in my rental car tonight. #neveragainAmerican this is the worst… pic.twitter.com/HV4Ptf1k6g

The struggle is real. Thank you @AmericanAir for inhumanely denying me boarding and degrading my life saving drugs. #MultipleSclerosis pic.twitter.com/4fsPhyVhEK

Ross had also posted on the 19th about getting a speeding ticket while on his trip:
…and how he was denied entry into a beach two days later:
The 29-year-old Ross began his career in 2012 and worked exclusively at Helix, performing there until 2020 but staying at the studio until March of this year, when he announced he was pursuing other life goals:
Dear Twitter fam, I have exciting news to share with y’all!
It’s time to move on and take on new challenges that are more aligned with my personal goals and aspirations. I've decided to pursue my dreams and explore opportunities outside of my role at Helix Studios.
Thank you…

Ross is the second former Helix performer to pass away this month following the death of Casey Tanner weeks ago. Since Kyle’s passing, many industry performers and studios have offered their condolences online:
Such a sad day… RIP Kyle Ross
He was a titan of the industry and from everything I’ve heard a great man outside of it as well. He will be missed by many.— Mickey Knox **18+** (@MickeyKnox_xxx) April 26, 2023
Our heart goes out to all of Kyle’s loved ones.
I was lucky enough to meet Aaron a few times during trips to San Diego. I liked him from the start – very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. He didn’t have an air of stardom or “I’m better than you cause I’m a porn star” attitude, which made you like him all the more.
What a tragedy. This is very sad.
Another amazing young man I knew from my days in San Diego. Aaron (rn) was easy to be around but sometimes you had to throw your hands up and walk out of the room when he got “extra”. He really should have listened to the universe and canceled his trip, but that was not in his nature.
Man … it was like everything was telling him to not go on that trip.
That’s just super sad.
