Tim Lutz, who co-founded LGBT multimedia publishing company Cybersocket in 1997 with Morgan Sommer, passed away Friday at his home in Palm Springs after a bout with brain cancer. The news was first reported by XBIZ.
A GoFundMe campaign was set up for Lutz early this year to help him with medical expenses following his diagnosis with glioblastoma. Lutz shared that on November 20, 2020, he started experiencing debilitating migraine headaches: “I refer to this life event as ‘My Perfect Storm.’ It’s a huge confirmation that I was able to manifest this storm at the right place and at the right time with all of my guardian angels, light, and energy right next to me.”
After having the mass removed, a pathology report confirmed that it was a malignant, methylated, glioblastoma tumor. “My life purpose serves me and the people around me best when I exist in a place of Love,” shared Lutz in a January update. “To ‘Be Love’ is the reason why I’m here. It allows for my immortality, my eternal life, my ultimate joy, my happiness.”
After an MRI scan in March, Lutz shared that radiation and chemotherapy treatment had shrunk his tumor. He shared that his radiation treatment was going to be put on hold while he continued a higher dose of chemotherapy. In his last update in March, Lutz shared: “Overall, I’m feeling well. I still struggle with extreme fatigue and mild cognitive changes like difficulty concentrating and organizing my thoughts, completing tasks, and short-term memory loss. My doctor informed me that these symptoms are due to the radiation treatment and will improve within a few weeks.”
Lutz was an important and loyal ally to Falcon|NakedSword, as well as the entire adult industry. As one of the creators and owners of the Cybersocket brand, Lutz was pivotal in helping studios establish and promote their online presence. Later, NakedSword was proud to partner with Lutz and Sommer as long-time supporters of the Cybersocket Awards Show, which began in 2000. His positive attitude and love for the adult industry will be missed by all, and the entire Falcon|NakedSword staff sends their condolences to all of Tim’s family and loved ones.
Terribly saddened by this, he was a sexy daddy too.
My goodness. I’m so sorry for his family and friends who have lost such an amazing individual. He was so pivotal in our community to bring awareness and shed light into our representation through entertainment. A warrior is the best way to describe him.
