A man is facing the rest of his life behind bars for knifing a man to death in Brooklyn after meeting him on a gay hook-up app, Jack’d.
After chatting on Jack’d, last April, David Haigh, 42, of Pennsylvania traveled to Brooklyn to meet James Johnson. He didn’t know that Johnson, 41, was under investigation for sexual assault.
Haigh said he felt threatened and he admitted to repeatedly stabbing Johnson. Could it have been in self-defense or is this the ultimate cautionary tale of hook-ups going very, very wrong?
