Kevin Spacey Resurfaces & Compares His Life To The Coronavirus Pandemic

Did you think that this global pandemic couldn’t get any worse? Well, you’re wrong! Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the stage alleged sex offender Kevin Spacey!

The disgraced actor is back in the news after his recent virtual appearance on the Bits & Pretzels “Virtual Founders Breakfast.” The Baby Driver actor discussed his fall from fame, the allegations made against him, and the coronavirus pandemic.

You’ll remember that Spacey was one of the first men to have allegations made against him when Times Up and the #MeToo era started. Anthony Rapp first accused Spacey of inappropriate conduct in 2017. The Star Trek: Discovery actor claimed that Spacey made sexual advances toward him when he was just 14 years old. Since Rapp, at least 15 men in total have come forward with stories of Spacey’s immoral behavior. Spacey was quickly let go from filming the last season of House of Cards and was famously cut out of All the Money in the World. The actor still denies the allegations to this day.

“I don’t think it will come as a surprise for anyone to say that my world completely changed in the fall of 2017,” said Spacey according to The Mirror. “My job, many of my relationships, my standing in my own industry were all gone in just a matter of hours.”

The former star even compared his situation to those who lost their jobs because of the current global pandemic. He said that he knows “what it feels like to suddenly find yourself in a situation you could not possibly have prepared for or anticipated it was coming.” Not really the same thing at all… but okay! Sure!

“I don’t often like to tell people that I can relate to their situation because I think it undermines the experience that they may be having which is their own unique and very personal experience,” said the actor. “But in this instance I feel as though I can relate to what it feels like to have your world suddenly stop.”

He emphasized that while the situations may be different, the “emotional struggles are very much the same.” Again… not really. But sure!

“And so I do have empathy for what it feels like to suddenly be told that you can’t go back to work or that you might lose your job and that it’s a situation that you have absolutely no control over,” said Spacey. “When my career came to a grinding, screeching halt, when I was faced with the uncertainty that I might never be hired as an actor again, I had to ask myself a question I’d never asked myself before which is, if I can’t act, who am I?”

  1. Universal Potentate

No, Mr. Greer. Kevin Spacey was a cultural icon at the top of his game and a source of pride to gay men everywhere. Then the fake outrage police appeared and gang raped his career as the media stood around and egged them on. These were unsubstantiated allegations that, even if were true amounted to little more than a pat on the butt. Remember when a pat on the butt was just something your coach did before saying “Get out there and play!”? The fact that this degree of utterly in-you-face defamation of character exists as acceptable in our society means that our backwards culture needs a serious about face and slap on the ass!
