If you’re using Crunch Fitness as a cruising spot, then you might want to find somewhere else to fuck. A WeHo branch of the gym chain apparently just posted up some official signage that politely, yet firmly asks its members to stop fucking in the men’s locker room!
Twitter user @rossifer (also known as OnlyFans model Rated R Ross) took to Twitter late Tuesday to share a picture of the gym’s new notice with the caption, “Tell me you work at a gay gym without telling me you work at a gym.” The poster features the Crunch Signature logo with a bold “ATTENTION MEMBERS” headline that’s followed by a stern warning.
“Please DO NOT HAVE SEX in the Men’s Locker Room!” reads the sign. “You can have sex literally anywhere else, just not at Crunch Fitness. Otherwise, your membership will be immediately revoked. Please keep this a safe space for all Crunchers.”
Since being shared on Tuesday, Ross’ tweet has received hundreds of retweets and responses. While the tweet doesn’t directly say the location of the gym, it didn’t take long for people in the replies to identify the gym as the Crunch Fitness on Sunset in West Hollywood. Other replies to the tweet featured people sharing that improper use caused their gyms to close its steam rooms, that the Crunch Fitness in Chelsea has similar “DO NOT HAVE SEX” signs, and a few users even expressed disbelief that people were actually having sex in public gyms and locker rooms.
Woo! So what do you think of this sign? Have you ever gone cruising at a gym? Have you ever had a locker room hookup? Have you ever been caught? Do you go to this gym? Are you surprised that the management of a WeHo gym had to put up signs like this?
Sound off in the comments below with all your hot thoughts and if you’re suddenly in the mood to see some A-list porn hunks fuck around in a locker room, you can head here.

Oh God. This is what La Fitness in Universal City is turning into … a bathhouse for tons and tons and tons of bisexual men, many who are on the prowl for males (and females). So many men on the down low there … everyone from the meatheads lifting to the tops and bottoms on the basketball court to the boi’s cruising in the hot tub. They are plentiful for the picking. I think it’s the new 24HR Fitness of WeHo brought back to life in Universal City. Lots of downlows working there too. Come have a look. Fill up your little basket.
FUN!!
Just saw this post. Yeah, LA Fitness Universal City has lots of guys “on the prowl” and there’s action in the sauna with guys who definitely give off “straight” vibes, some with wedding rings, but sure are eager to get or GIVE BJs. Also have seen (and partook in) sharing shower stalls. Nice that they have curtains, (the former Studio City location with its community showers was sometimes like an open orgy, but I also saw two guys get caught and kicked out of that club). Now it’s the Hollywood Blvd LA Fitness that seems more like a bath house, especially the after-work hours. Many many times the hot guys (actors and models… or those with actor/model looks anyway… it’s Hollywood) sneak into the same shower stall together. Even when it’s crowded, I’ve heard the obvious grunts and skin slapping that is undeniably some serious after-workout action.
Where do I begin? Gay men are some of the rudest, most immature, thoughtless and selfish with the attitude: ‘I’ll have sex anywhere I damned please and FUCK those who have a problem with it’. Well many of us have a problem with this rudeness and lack of respect and common courtesy. I’m no prude but really who needs to see guys having sex in the gym shower and if the gym has one ‘a steam room, there as well.?
This was an ongoing thing at my gym here in San Francisco, FitnessSF and it got so bad they permanently shut down the steam room. This amenity was great to be able to relax and relieve any post workout soreness but was destroyed by the selfish and thoughtless guys who thought they had a right to have sex anywhere they damned please.
So after many complaints, management shut down the steam room but didn’t refund any portion of the membership fees to offset this and at $1K per year, this was the decision to go elsewhere when my membership ran out. I now go to another gym that’s just as nice and much cheaper with a sauna where there’s no hanky panky and with a more attentive staff who actually are friendly with no attitude along with a much friendlier bunch of gym goers and BTW, it’s a gay gym as well. And this is in San Francisco, believe it or not.
Wherever someone says “I’m no prude but …” you immediately know they’re a prude. And please tell us more about your black friend to prove you’re not racist.
The complaint these people lodge is about the visual disgust, a clear sign of prudishness almost by the definition of the word. It’s familiar to homophobes concerned “the children” will see men kissing and be indoctrinated into the homosexual lifestyle and agenda.
Instead of looking at simple solutions as I described, like having a better partitioned steam room, these prudes want to shame and ban because their eyes and sensibilities are so delicate.
Grow up or leave! There are other places to workout!
Yeah well that’s cause any time you say ‘But’ or ‘However’ – the negates everything said before those words.

it’s also posted at a NYC Crunch. same sign.
this is bullshit, its a gym not a bathhouse. you joined a gym not a bathhouse, crunch is selling a gym, not a bathhouse. i live at the beach for 75 yrs we had a nice small nude beach area, the gay guys kept having sex there ruining the dunes and now the entire beach is closed. i’m gay i love sex but these guys ruin it for everyone. people who pay for a gym experience have the right and expectation to have a normal gym experience defined by the business selling this experience. it is a ridiculous conversation to even suggest theres anything ok with this kind of behavior.
75 years, huh?
The problem is with the attitude that a beach should close because people have sex there.
If that attitude didn’t exist, or was rightfully scoffed at, then none of these things would be a problem.
Tell me the flaw in my logic.
Your logic is about as correct as Donald Trump’s and Pilliw Man’s about stolen elections.
So you could neither understand the question posed nor proofread before posting. If you want anyone to respect your opinion, have a respectable statement.(
Why shouldn’t we be able to have sex at a beach?
The same reason you can’t have on the street corner. It is a shared public space.
That’s a legal reason, not an ethical one. Unless you’re of the belief the law is always ethical.
No that is the ethical one, well to any reasonable person. Have sex in public means anyone can walk by and see it with out giving their consent to do so.
I live and grew up at ‘normal,’ conventional beach in NJ. Guess what? People, gay and straight, have been having sex there for years. The key to having sex at the beach – and at the gym, too, btw – is to use discretion. In other words, do it when the chance of ‘getting caught’ is minimal. THAT is a sign of respect for others.
I belong to a gym that has several locations around LA that will go nameless. I can tell you that I have seen everything in the locker rooms from circle jerks to trains. If you are in an area where there are horny men that are GBTQ and straight men that look the other way, as they often do, it’s naive to think that it’s not happening. I mean I hear about straight couples making out and doing other things under the bleachers at school stadiums, so I fail to see how this is different as far as appropriate. And, I am sorry but if you are a parent taking a child under 18 to a gym in a major city and not expecting to see things, you are naive. So, why do it? Even if your child isn’t seeing things of a sexual nature, they are seeing naked men with all types of tattoos and piercings, often not g-rated either. And, this one is West Hollywood. The straight men that go there know not to go in the lorckerrooms, please…I will say I agree some people take it too far, but it’s nearly impossible to regulate unless you put police officers on surveillance and they’ve got better things to do than catch some guys touching each other under towels.
People ignore a lot of gym regulations and I see discourteous behavior at some gyms (but not others). For example, at certain locations it is rare to see someone re-rack the dumbbells properly and you have to search the entire gym to find matching weights. Other gyms enforce the return of weights to the racks (which I greatly appreciate). So you can post rules, but unless you are prepared to enforce them, good luck with compliance.
I’ve seen men touch one another in a steam room or sauna and it doesn’t bother me so long as it doesn’t go too far (such as oral or anal). I agree there are more appropriate places for that type of behavior and it’s not in a gym. Go to a sex club, a bathhouse, or a private residence.
Unfortunatley many gyms aren’t sufficiently staffed to maintain clean and hygienic surfaces (stalls, showers, saunas), much less clean up body fluids that leak from sex. I would never use gym wet areas without sandals. The floors are petri dishes of germs, bateria and other undesirable microbes.
Sex is good! Anytime and anywhere!!!
This notice along with ‘please refrain from using your cell phone when others want to use the equipment’ really doesn’t need to be posted as it’s common courtesy that adults are supposed to practice. We’re all supposed to be adults and not teenagers who more often than not, lack basic common sense. This issue kept happening at my old gym Fitness SF here in San Francisco and was so bad the gym permanently closed the steam room, one of the amenities of this gym yet didn’t refund any money to current members who paid $999.00 per year for a membership. And showering and having to see google eyed men ogle each other ( like they’d never seen a nude guy before )and those who had sex openly in the shower made for a non positive gym experience.
As a gay men and not prudish there’s a time and place for everything and sex at the gym isn’t one of them. There’s a large sign stating ‘inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and any such behavior as deemed by management will result in immediate cancellation of your membership with no refunds’. This along with ‘no cameras allowed in the locker room’ was posted in a large sign in the locker room / shower at Fitness SF and despite this open and obvious warning there were selfish, rude men who blew it off.
I belonged to a gyn in Midtown Atlanta in the early 90’s. It was very cruisy, especially the steam room. I was alone with this hot guy in. the steam room one evening. We were naked sitting on our towels. He began stoking his dick. I did the same. Next this I was sucking him off. He blew his load in my mouth. We put on our towels and left.
Fun! I will always remember it,
I see the typical “I’m a gay man and I’ll fuck whenever and wherever I want to and anyone who objects is a prude and a homophobe” attitude is well represented here. Do these men really have nowhere else to have sex? If so I really do feel sorry for them. I belonged to a few different gyms over a 30 year period and enjoyed many a sly look at other guys in the showers but never would I have even considered having sex in a gym locker room.
In the 80’s, I belonged to the Family Fitness Center, now 24 Hour Fitness and the men’s locker room had a jacuzzi, wet and dry sauna and gang type showers and I have to admit that there was more than a little sexual going’s on and that I partook in some of it. But, it was always discreet and as long as it was, management turned a blind eye to it. Until one day, two guys took it too far and were butt-fucking in the jacuzzi and a man and his young son walked in. Well, that put an end to any and all hijinks. They took out the jacuzzi, the steam sauna and changed the gang showers to individual. The only thing they kept was the dry sauna. People ruined a good thing by taking it too far.
Gym + sauna sex was my 90’s/early 2000’s….. bring it back!!! :)
I wish I lived near that Crunch ;)
Back in the late 1980s and early ’90s, I was a member at The Sports Connection in WeHo (now 24-Hour Fitness), which was affectionately known as “The Sports Erection” because of certain man-on-man activities which often took place in the jacuzzi and the steam room.
Just include a better clean up crew. Instead of trying to prohibit something, make it a safe space for people trying to fuck.
If I were going to build a gym, I’d build it as compartmentalized with shower, steamroom and hot tub features in a more hidden area of the locker room. Normal family/straight showering and sauna (no one fucks in a sauna) would be positioned towards the normal front locker room area.
In the meantime, prohibition is stupid and stops nothing.
But why? A gym is a gym, not a bathhouse. I don’t think it’s out of line they have rules for the comfort of all patrons. One can meet someone at a gym and go elsewhere if that’s what they want out of it. Not being a prude, but they didn’t sign up to work in a bathhouse environment, and they shouldn’t have to accommodate such a thing when their service to the public is being a gym.
So to review … you’re definitely NOT a prude BUT
– You want rules which comfort everyone except the gay men
– You see a gym as a public service, not a private business
– The employees should have to deal with sanitation of all areas, especially wet areas but gay sex sanitation is somehow unconscionable
– A gym with a more secluded section in the locker room is the same thing as an all-areas sex club
– You’re definitely definitely not a prude
… yeah. Maybe, and I’m gonna go WAY out on a limb here, if something is happening and you won’t stop it and making up rules to ban it will only serve to embolden prudes who can’t handle the reality of what’s happening and making a de facto place for it works logistically even though some people say “ew” then maybe just maybe my idea makes the most sense.
Another view is “Don’t ask why. Ask why not.”
im a gay man i dont want to attend a gym with rampant gay sex..which is why i guess id not go to a gay gym.
Where in the world did you get all of that from that dude’s comment?! It’s not about them having a prejudice against gay men (which by the way, nice way of generalizing the community) it’s about them wanting to keep things for their purpose…a gym. That doesn’t mean they don’t clean, or that somehow gay sex is like some super dirty thing. Chill dude
Your attitude of, “we’re gay and so we can fuck anywhere we want anytime we want with anyone we want“ is absolutely ludicrous. Thank God you don’t breed. Too bad you are allowed to vote.
I definitely have kids. I’m bisexual. Do try to make fewer assumptions.
My attitude is “Since it happens & it hurts no one, accommodate it!” I don’t have gym sex but I believe in accommodating it.
I support legalizing drugs. I don’t smoke or drink.
I support assisted suicide.
I am strongly against feminism and it’s “consent” agenda. It just hurts men legally, financially and reputationally
I am strongly against vaccine mandates & lockdowns. These things do not slow spread, flatten the curve or prevent death, not according to statistical data.
Any issues where someone wants to virtue signal their moral superiority by punishing, restricting or mandating others by creating or enforcing victimless crimes, I am against.
The only thing I find offensive are the offended. So … if men, or women, fuck in gym locker rooms, figure out where and why. Then construct an area of steam rooms, showers and hot tubs separated from the rest of the locker room by a small corridor. Accommodate it.
And all you have to do is stop being a hypersensitive prude. The best way you can do that is with exposure.
~ A politically active voter
Hey, Universal Potentate…
” construct an area to accommodate gay sex ”
Are you for real? If that’s the case then just open a bathhouse …!!!
God knows I have had my share of gay sex in bathhouses, But if I owned a ” gym ” and it was opened to the public I’d expect the members to behave and not have sex in the steam or showers that ALL the members are paying to use.
There are apparently some gay men that find random exhibition sex wrong.
So the rule would comfort some gay men too.
Employees at a sex club know what they are getting into; it isn’t part of a minimum wage gym employee’s normal work day to run across people in flagrante delicto.
Having sex isn’t a protected subject class in pseudo public spaces. It is more along the line of “No shirt No Shoes No Service” as long as they gym isn’t allowing sex at all.
Having gay sex is currently a Constitutionally protected act, and as we saw last week with the Supreems chipping away at Roe in public, resent expansions of our civil rights may not be absolute, so take one for the team and keep it to heavy petting and move some where with a lock or an audience ready so the show.
That being said: I did enjoy a show or two or 3 times a week at the Mission Valley Baley’s last century.
I like your ideas
If they really wanted to stop it, they would have nullified those memberships of the violators. Then report them.
It is hard to prosecute; the space is in an odd nether world between public and private. Having sex in it self isn’t a crime, so it is a usually treated as civil mater when done in a private club. Plus most DA’s don’t want to be know as the one that started raiding gay hang outs.
