“It’s Urinetown meets It’s a Wonderful Life!” reads the promo copy for this mash-up satirical review of Christmas TV specials, songs, etc., which couldn’t feel more un-timely if it were February. We’re sure it’s cute, and it seems to involve a character who’s a Tenderloin hustler, and it stars Michael Turner and Chris Struett look awful cute on the flyer, but don’t blame us if you’ve got “Sleighride” stuck in your head in the middle of September.

They just went for the crotch shot to promote this play, which is about two gay men who have taboo feelings for their own fathers and are lovers themselves.  Ten bucks says somebody exposes their peen sometime during this show. Note: It seems to have gotten a slew of rave audience reviews.

This looks like the best bet for tranny-lovers, although we’ll admit to not having heard of most of these trannies on the regular tranny circuit… to wit: “Performers include gender-queer performance artist Sunny Drake, burlesque dancers the Twilight Vixens, Veronica Combs (aka Vixen Noir), excerpts from Wickie Stamps’ gothic drama Fugue State and spoken-word performers Meliza Bañales, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha and Thandiwe Thomas De Shazor.
