Fresh off of his extremely queer and explicit performance of Montero (Call Me By Your Name) at the BET Awards, Lil Nas X is making headlines again by revealing his bedroom preferences. That’s right – the out rapper is finally giving fans a look into if he’s a top or a bottom.
After making out with a dancer on stage at the award show, Lil Nas responded to those criticizing him for being too gay and overtly sexual by tweeting that he was going to “just fuck” his dancer on stage next time. A fan then replied asking Lil Nas’ preferred position, to which he responded that he is a “power bottom”! He replied again with a parody of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie famous TEDx message that was famously featured in the 2013 Beyoncé song ***Flawless.
“We teach our bottoms to shrink themselves, to make themselves smaller,” tweeted the Grammy-winning rapper. “We say to bottoms, you can have ambition, but not too much. You should aim to be successful, but not too successful. Otherwise, you would threaten the top.”

No one is teaching bottoms anything different from tops … well, not about life lessons anyway. But this is where we respect expressive artists and also recognize they are not sociology majors.
