LISTEN UP, FAGGOT!: The Younger Lovers

Led by frontman Brontez, formerly of Gravy Train, The Younger Lovers are pure and simple garage punk with gay lyrics. Their songs tend to stick to the 2-minute punk tradition and every one sounds like it was recorded in one take live in a dive bar.

They performed recently at QxBxRx in NYC, and they were featured on the rock stage at the Castro Street Fair last fall in SF.  They spent some time on the otherwise more dancey, lesbian and pop-centric Click List on Logo with their song “Can I Come Over?“, racking up a couple million clicks, and now they’ve come out with a new video for “Danny” with some nice production values and what looks like some Los Angeles locations (San Francisco doesn’t have palm trees that tall).  Watch, listen and enjoy.

Video directed by Justin Kelly. Hear a couple more Younger Lovers tracks on their MySpace.
