Lizzo Teams Up With The ‘Queer Eye’ Boys For New Music Video

Lizzo is back and doing what she does best – promoting her old music! The singer just dropped an animated video for her 2019 song Soulmate with some help from the Fab 5!

In the lyric video, Lizzo can be seen with all five cast members from Netflix’s Queer Eye. She’s seen having a picnic with Bobby Berk, getting a wardrobe makeover from Tan France, and dancing in a field of hair with Jonathan Van Ness. Cartoon versions of Karamo Brown and Antoni Porowski also make appearances throughout the video.

While the video is cute, we’re not really sure why the Fab 5 is so heavily featured. I guess it has something to do with Pride month? I mean, it’s June. That’s the perfect time for everyone to feature random queer people in whatever projects they’re doing.

While this may not be the best attempt at Pride content from a major artist, we still have Lizzo’s “Bye, bitch” video, which is and forever will be part of the gay canon.

And if you remember correctly, this isn’t the first time the Fab 5 has made an appearance in a pop diva’s music video. Last summer they had a somewhat large role in Taylor Swift’s You Need To Calm Down video. I mean, no one had a large role in that video since literally every other queer person in Hollywood made a quick cameo in it, but it featured the boys pretty heavily as they sat down for tea with Swift and Todrick Hall.

Check out the animated video and let us know what you think of the song down in the comments!
