Lucas, Flamingo Among GayVN Hall of Fame Inductees

We congratulate all the recipients, and without further ado, this years Hall of Fame inductees are [drumroll on buttocks]:

Dink Flamingo of ActiveDuty.com and Dirty Bird Pictures, pioneer in amateur web content featuring real life military men and recently serving as mentor to Brent Corrigan, helping him launch his own studio, Prodigy Pictures.

Michael Lucas, our favorite outspoken Russian-born porn prince who swept the GayVNs in 2007 with Michael Lucas’ La Dolce Vita and has cemented his stature as an A-list director and performer through  his own studio and distribution company. He’s known for his political views and outspoken personality as well as producing and starring in classic films, including Dangerous Liaisons, The Intern and Gigolo.

TJ Paris who discovered stars such as Paul Morgan and Rob Steele and has served many rolls behind the scenes in gay adult films until retiring from industry in 2005.

Dean Phoenix who quickly rose to fame in the industry after his 1998 debut and, despite retiring in 2000, he returned in 2004’s Buckshot classic BuckleRoos and has continued in recent releases like Buckshot’s Brotherhood, All Worlds’ Forever Young and this year’s GayVN-nominated Paradise Found.

Jack Simmons who got his start back in 1996 in Jet Set’s Marine Code of Silence–directed by Hall of Famer Paul Barresi–and was the first African-American to work for major studios. He named himself in honor of Robert Mapplethorpe model Joe Simmons.

Phil St. John, once an Oscar nominee for a student film, was the first to shoot a double-penetration scene in gay porn, and a pioneer in making porn focused on skate culture.

Chris Steele – who made lasting impressions on the industry between his early-90s debut as a performer and his late 90s return to the screen in movies like Studio 2000’s Uncle Jack. The GayVN and Grabby Award winner is currently a head honcho over at Jet Set Men.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT:

Roger Earl who worked as an associate producer on The Dean Martin Show on NBC and then as Martin’s road manager, later  co-founded Marathon Films and formed the Gay Producers Association of America, which presented the first gay porn awards.  More recently he worked at the Tom of Finland Foundation until his retirement in 2007.
