Those five syphilis cases in straight porn have now led to a moratorium on production in both straight and gay porn (gay porn studios affected include Kink.com and Men.com, both of which are straight-owned) and one male gay porn performer is speaking out about the shut down.
The gay-for-pay performer (who asked not to be identified) was scheduled to shoot with Men.com this week and tells The Sword:
Men.com called me and told me everything is put on hold. I asked why, and they told my to read the article on AVN! I did, and well, [someone] fucked it up for us clean people. It drives me crazy how irresponsible people can be. And, of course it had to come from the straight side of porn.
The performer is uncertain when or if his shoot will be rescheduled.
We will all know Wednesday. Not to mention I had to pay for my own test, which you have to take twice a month if you shoot a lot.
Men.com, which just this month began requiring testing for all of its models, has not returned repeated requests for comment.
