Pornhub pulled its numbers for Pride to find out just what gay porn categories are getting us off around the world. And the results are startling. (Also startling is the realization that, of course, Pornhub tracks what we search for, but it’s still mildly alarming.)
First off, let’s break down some demographics! It might be a landslide in a presidential election, but knowing that gay porn viewers are 57 percent men and 43 percent women seems like a very tight one to us. Meanwhile, 18- to 24-year-olds overwhelmingly searched for “cartoon porn” (presumably, they didn’t mean Men.com releases), while those 65 and older searched for “blowjob.” (Huh.)
Across the globe, America’s top searched category for gay porn was bareback, while Australians were on the hunt for “straight guys.” “Twink” absolutely dominates the world, though, owning almost the entirety of South America, Europe, and Russia.
Breaking it down state by state gets a little more interesting. California’s top searched phrase was “lingerie.” Nevadans wanted “black bussy solo,” Nebraska looked for “mushroom cock,” and Florida went all in on “feet worship.” Maine fulfills all of our lumberjack fantasies by seeking out “hairy nature.”
Maine turns out to be the gayest state, according to PornHub’s stats, with residents 28% more likely to search for gay porn.
Pornhub periodically releases data on the popularity of its searches, and it’s always a fascinating glimpse into how other people consume porn. This data, however, doesn’t include the states blocked by Pornhub over age-verification laws that would require the uploading of a government-issued ID to access its content. The missing states are Texas, North Carolina, Montana, Mississippi, Virginia, Arkansas, and Utah. Pornhub’s parent company, Aylo, recently announced it cut off access to the site in Kentucky and Nebraska, as well, while Indiana, Idaho, and Kansas citizens have until June 28 to search for, respectively, underwear sex, bromance, and hairless twink.

I don´t understand why some gays are attracted to straight guys. It sounds like internalized homophobia to me. There are so many gay options to enjoy: Europeans, Latinos, Asians, blacks. I even think gay men are much more handsome and certainly better dressed. Pride month is also a month to start valuing our equals more.
