64-year-old, nine-term Tim Murphy(R-PA) announced Wednesday that he would not run for a ninth term after the news of his affair with 32-year-old Shannon Edwards became public. When Edwards thought she was pregnant, Murphy urged her to get an abortion.
On Tuesday, GOP legislation that would criminalize abortions was passed by the house. Murphy is not only a member of the House Pro-Life Caucus, he’s among the bill’s co-sponsors.
Allowed to resign? Shouldn’t this duplicitous hypocrite be drummed out of Congress immediately rather than all this fuck to make rules for how the rest of us should live?
