Once A Thriving Cottage Industry, Many Porn Star Sites Have Expired

Blame the recession or the fact that tube sites have left people wanting more bang for their porn buck, but fewer porn stars than ever are maintaining personal websites in favor of MySpace pages and blogs. In searching for underwear for sale, we discovered many big stars have let their domains expire.

The former sites of Benjamin Bradley, Adam Dexter, Brad Patton, Eddie Stone, Jason Adonis, Trevor Knight and many others now redirect to dead pages. Many of the sites that are still live haven’t been updated in years. Zak Spear’s site, as if caught in some sort of time warp, promotes his “new” movie ZakAttack, from 2004. Chase Hunter’s is promoting Drenched, from 2003.

Not to say fee-based porn star websites are dead entirely. Brent Everett, Pierre Fitch, and Zeb Atlas maintain successful paysites and COLT Studios launched subscription-based model sites for their models earlier this year and they seem to be doing well. But these seem to be the exceptions.

Badpuppy — once a thriving conglomeration of many porn star and director membership sites now offers a few in favor of more amateur stuff. Aden and Jordan Jaric’s Badpuppy site is slated to go off-line this month. A few years ago, Falcon offered bundled access to model sites for Matthew Rush, Roman Heart, Dean Monroe, Josh Weston, and Erik Rhodes with subscription to their membership site, but has since taken them all down. (Erik Rhodes also had a short-lived paysite on Badpuppy which has also been taken off-line).

After many false starts, Brent Corrigan seems to have given up the idea on having a membership site of his own. And if Brett couldn’t pull it off, who could?

(N.B. Earlier we reported that Arpad Miklos’ site was down. It turns out that we had the wrong domain suffix. ArpadMiklos.NET is very much alive, according to Mr. Miklos.)

  1. I read this article with surprise and astonishment. My website is former by now? And I have to learn it form somebody else?

I’m sure the writer of the article didn’t check out my OFFICIAL website at http://www.arpadmiklos.NET. If he had done so, he would have seen that it’s up very much!
(I have never had anything to do with http://www.arpadmiklos.COM)

In fact, some great new features are just about to be launched on my website. Once again: http://WWW.ARPADMIKLOS.NET

(I have no myspace or youtube, though…)

  2. I totally blame a terrible web team over at badpuppy. I bought top of the line high def equipment that the morons didnt know how to format for the basic bullshit HTML website badpuppy “threw up” for me.
I guess all those good fisting videos i made will never see the light of day. Too bad.
If badpuppy tanks as a whole i will not be surprised.

  3. Its not that they don't make money

Its that the return on the labor and cost is not enough. It is an indirect revenue source though, because if you reach your fans through your own site, they will buy more of your adult product and the money will go to… oh never mind, the owners of the porn companies get all of that. The system is rigged I tell you!
