Every day I wake up to a flood of hate and negativity. It’s like walking through an ocean filled with sludge, plastic, and dead fish, all while being surrounded by the birds who eat them. Every day features public executions, excessive mudslinging, and more shame and guilt.
It feels like people are trying very hard to prove to the world at large that they are free of sin, but we have all participated in systemic racism, otherwise it wouldn’t be systemic.
If you have ever been in gay porn, you are guilty of perpetuating and profiting off racial inequality. Every white performer is guilty of getting a job a POC didn’t get due to unfair beauty standards. Every Black man who agreed to be a “thug” in a gang bang for significantly less pay than the white bottom is guilty. Everyone was playing the game to succeed and make money the best way they could.
No one is free of guilt, so let’s stop the witch hunt. Pontificating and engaging in Twitter wars are not action – action is action. Stop talking about change and actually be the change.
Everyone who makes content – film more inclusive, ethical content. Anyone who owns a studio – diversify your workforce. Anyone who feels their privilege weighs too much on them – give the opportunity to someone who needs it.
Fighting creates enemies and we need allies as an industry and as a community. It wounds me to watch friends and allies get caught up in daily shouting matches where no one is truly heard. Collectively we want and need the same things to be an enlightened people. Let us listen and move towards a better version of ourselves. Take action.

I have been watching porn since the 70’s. Their were almost no actors of color. Not until this past decade were people of color included. I wasn’t until a couple of years ago did I know there was a woman behind the camera! Porn IS a BUSINESS that appeals to a very fickle consumer base. Especially now that there are so many different types of porn products. As a porn consumer with a limited budget I have to be choosy. There are the dot com web sites. porn studios Only Fans Just for Fan sites, rental stores rental brick and mortar and I am sure I am missing some. My point is that now is the time for POC to get your own porn site. Now you are able to create and hire the people and actors that you want to. Now you can put your porn out there and see how it sells. If there is a market for Gay porn with POC in it I say GO for it!
What’s the point of this article as we all know what’s going on all around us? Porn is for the most part all about fantasy and companies producing it try to out do each other casting the best looking guys (whatever their definition of ‘best looking’ is) that fit the so called current standard of beauty, whatever that is. Bottom line, it’s all about money, period. And since when should white guys feel guilty getting parts in porn movies versus persons of color? Maybe the white guy has just what the producers want, who knows. as there are a lot of variables involved. Just my 2 cents

There is so much more racism that goes behind the camera, and there are models who claim are all for equality but the stuff they say when the cameras are not rolling it disgusting. I wish more people would speak up but there’s that fear they’ll get shunned from the industry.
The heat must be terribly hot since this post is clearly designed to short circuit any process that would hold anyone in the industry accountable. Just acknowledge past wrongs and move on. Maybe that works if tangible, verifiable changes are made to rid the industry of the White privilege biases that have defined it since inception. Pay equity, broadening options for Black, Latinx, and API actors that expand beyond fetishes and stereotypes which must no longer define the totality of sex play for men if color.
If you’re white, you’re guilty. End of story. That’s what this article is saying. Of course painting all whites with the broad brush of racism is perfectly acceptable.
