The 2020 Prowler Awards have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The nominations for the postponed event were released earlier today, but voting for the show will not take place until a new date has been announced.
“Public gatherings have now been banned by the UK Government, and we anticipate event restrictions will continue for some time as cases reach their peak and the Government has also warned that more lives will be lost,” said co-founder Benjamin Willis in a statement. “It is for these reasons that the event team have, with great sadness, decided to postpone the Prowler Awards. To go ahead in the middle of a public health emergency would be irresponsible, not only for our visitors but also for the communities and loved ones they return home to.”
The show was supposed to take place on June 4 at London’s Fire Night Club. Sister Roman and Rob Wilde were originally set to host the ceremony. Roma made a video announcing the postponement earlier this week.

The show is supposed to be rescheduled towards the end of the year, but a press release claims they “can’t rule out the possibility of a date in 2021.”
“We know this news will be hugely disappointing for many people who were hoping to come to celebrate the many achievements and the contribution made by the European Gay Porn Industry and we apologise from the bottom of our hearts for the inconvenience caused to you with travel and hotels,” said Benjamin. “Hopefully, you will all understand why we have had to take this difficult decision, which we have not done without considerable thought and discussion.”
