Sponsored by Falcon|NakedSword, the “Coming Out” workshop will cover topics like the definition of sexual orientation and sexuality diversity; the different types of coming outs (including kink, fetish and HIV status); how to come out safely; how to express boundaries with others before, during and after coming out; and more! “We’ve already run a number of webinars and support groups for the LGBTQ+ community, but this will be the first one to cover the topic of coming out. Coming out can be a challenging experience, and one amplified by the stigma that those in the adult industry may face when looking for support,” says Leya Tanit, Founder and CEO of Pineapple Support Society. “We’re hosting this webinar to recognize World Coming Out Day. The webinar is designed to help those coming out, as well as covering topics related to sexual orientation, sexuality, HIV status and kink. Sharing experiences stops people from feeling so alone.”
Tanit noted that discussing these issue has become especially important over the last year and a half.
“The issues we see every day are exacerbated in the pandemic. Isolation can heighten anxiety and depression, many people were forced back to live with family or uncomfortable living conditions where they might not be able to be fully out,” she says. “Our therapists and the performers will hopefully help people feel less alone in their struggles. When we know the challenges that others have faced, we can gain strength in facing our own.”
The workshop is hosted by Silva Neves, a COSRT accredited psychosexual and relationship psychotherapist, trauma psychotherapist and EMDR therapist working in his Central London private practice (UK) and online via FaceTime or Zoom. Silva specializes in working with sexual trauma, infidelity and compulsive sexual behaviors. He works extensively with the LGBTQ community.

The correct term is “sexual orientation”, not “sexual preference”. The word “preference” implies choice — and as we now know, BEING GAY IS NOT A CHOICE!!!
