Reason #533728892 why people shouldn’t be allowed to have guns. Especially people who are aspiring go-go boys.
Maxwell Felch Mullen is being charged with attempted murder after a shooting at the Share Nightclub late Saturday night. According to the police report, 24-year-old Mullen was auditioning at the gay nightclub to be a go-go dancer at the time of the incident. Mullen was allegedly intoxicated and acting irate inside the club when the security director was contacted to escort him off of the property.
Once outside, Mullen began running around the parking lot and was making multiple threats about using his gun to “shoot someone in the head.” A man who was with Mullen unlocked his vehicle for him and then gave him his keys. Mullen used his keys to unlock his glovebox and retrieve a gun. Mullen then fired two shots at the security director who had escorted him outside.
Which is more disturbing: That a gay go-go boy’s middle name is “Felch” or that a gay go-go boy was carrying around a loaded gun in his glovebox?
The security director, who was not shot, took Mullen down and other security guards moved in to help place Mullen in custody. During the takedown, Mullen was able to squeeze off four more shots.
Mullen was transported to University Medical Center for minor injuries received during the incident. Mullen asked a police officer at the hospital if anyone was hurt and said he was not aiming. Mullen also said he was afraid for his life at the time of the shooting.
Oh, great. Maybe he’ll try to invoke some sort of “stand your ground” defense, for not being allowed to go-go dance.
Mullen has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center. He is being charged with attempted murder with a deadly weapon and assault with a deadly weapon.
