Rhyheim Shabazz & Willam Lead Sexy New TV Show for OUTtv

Rhyheim Shabazz is going mainstream. Award-winning gay porn star, director, and creator Rhyheim Shabazz is part of the Queer cast of a new reality TV competition from OUTtv. Willam’s Dark Room Duel, hosted by infamous Drag Race star Willam, wants to find the next great stripper. According to Deadline, the reality competition begins production this fall. The sexy male contestants will compete in a series of themed challenges and performances (like Drag Race). The winner of Willam’s Dark Room Duel wins a prize package that includes becoming Willam’s opening act for live performances. Rhyheim serves as one of the main judges, along with popular podcaster and drag personality Meatball Queen.

“I used to book and manage strippers back in the day, and still some of my best friends are strippers,” Willam said in a statement to Deadline. “Trust me, when it comes to taking off clothes I know what I’m talking about. Plus, I love making stuff with OUTtv.”

There’s no word yet on what this means for OUTtv’s original stripper show, Gogo For the Gold. Hosted and created by Hey Qween!‘s Jonny McGovern, Gogo For the Gold ran for two seasons on OUTtv. Similarly to the Willam show, this competition brought strippers in from around the country to compete in challenges for $10,000 and the title of “America’s #1 Champion Gogo Superstar Star.” Yeah, the double star was for real. Also like the new Willam series, Gogo For the Gold was hosted by a panel of porn star judges. Is Gogo done at OUTtv now? Is Willam’s Dark Room Duel more a rebrand than a whole new series?
