Ross Hurston’s Return to Gay Porn: What Is the Biggest Industry Change?

“I wasn’t shooting bareback scenes then,” Ross noted. “Obviously, that’s changed, which is kind of nice [laughs]. It’s a bit more freedom.”

Of course, the next prominent change involved evolving technology – OnlyFans. However, studio porn is where he feels most comfortable, explaining that he’s still learning about the fan sites his viewers wanted him to join.

“I had a discussion with my husband[,] how we would sit with where I was going to be doing, where I was going to be shooting, and I think for me at the moment, that’s a bit more of a controlled environment, but we’ll see what happens,” Ross said. “I’ve noticed that’s the big change.”

He concluded: “It’s a lot more online, where when I was doing it, it was DVDs. So, I feel really old now. You’d go into San Francisco, and in the stores, it was like the posters, and you go buy the DVD. Obviously, it’s all online, so I’m still understanding how it works now.”
