The internet is throwing some gay accusations at pop star Shawn Mendes yet again! The Summer of Love singer’s newest debacle involves a clip from a behind-the-scenes video that shows him talking about pissing in the water and then getting into said water in a very… strange fashion.
Instead of walking into the water like you would expect someone to do, Shawn squats down, arches his back, shows off his extremely perky booty, and kicks himself off into the large body of water. These unique aquatic techniques sparked a conversation on Twitter that had many, many people dragging his “fruity” swimming abilities.

Twitter user @12i4o2 started the mess over Shawn’s swimming habits when they questioned, “Who gets into water like this?” Many users retweeted @12i4o2 and said that Shawn, who has long claimed he is straight and in a relationship with the star of the upcoming flop Cinderella film, Camila Cabello, is “never beating the allegations.” In another tweet, one user even compared this clip to the beginning of a Men.com video.

Sort of difficult – never mind impossible – to ‘out’ someone who isn’t.
You get into the water like that if what’s beneath the surface isn’t pure sand but pebbles and what not. Saves you from doing that inelegant dance and hurting your feet.
