Sister Roma Featured In New Video About the SF Giants Baseball Team

The San Francisco Giants want to show some liberal love for their hometown, and so just as they’ve been knocked out of playoff contention for the season, they’ve released this video for their #WeAreGiant campaign.

It’s all about how SF is historically kooky and accepting and look! We even have drag queen nuns. And Sister Roma narrates it.

As Sister Roma tells The Sword, “In less than 24 hours it’s gotten over 160K views on Facebook. And some interesting comments…”

Also, Roma writes,

In San Francisco we celebrate diversity. Our people and our communities are just as beautiful and special as our skyline, hills and bridges. As a 28-year member of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc. I’ve devoted more than half my life to community service and activism. The Sisters started here in SF and have been on the front lines of the war against HIV/AIDS and raised millions of dollars for charity. I am proud of my Sisters, proud of my City and proud of my GIANTS! Thank you for the honor of being included in your campaign.

Unfortunately the video isn’t embeddable, so you can go watch it here.
