Sorry I Almost Got You Fired, Dominik Rider

After reading my Earth-shattering piece of journalism about Dominik Rider’s return to bareback porn, Steve Cruz wrote a thoughtful blog post asking his readers whether or not it was hypocritical for a safer sex activist like him — with a haute condom line and a campaign at HowIRoll.info — to hire a performer who appears in bareback titles.

The issue is Dominik’s done bareback porn in the past and he’s returned recently to do more films. Now as you all know I have a condom campaign I feel pretty strongly about… but the main point of my condom campaign is to promote sexier safe sex… and I’ve said this before, howiroll.info is not a crusade against bareback porn and its producers. My strategy is to be FOR something rather than against something else. So I feel challenged once again by my beliefs.

And because Steve is not lazy like I am, he reached out to Dominik before publishing his blog post and asked him to comment on his cummy antics. Here’s what Dominik has to say:

Most adults are smart enough to make their own decisions in spite what they watch in a movie. Funny thing is I have slept with porn stars that condom barebacking when they’re in public but behind closed doors, they’re all about shooting their load in my ass.

Pictures, please.

  1. Steve Cruz doesn’t give a shit — he’s hired other actors with barebacking pasts; ahem, Leo Giamani?

This is a perfect example, of a prior instance and could apply to this incident.

Leo wasn’t in the industry for 6 months, and performed in a series of bareback scenes; was hired in a very SHORT time afterward to work in a Cruz film. The only thing people really care about is if your hot or not in this industry, Leo was a piece of ass that was gaining popularity–ergo, Steve wanted him regardless of his barebacking in the few months he worked prior to with Steve. People made a fuss about this, and Steve basically said that ‘Leo’ didn’t know what he was doing and should be allowed to make mistakes.
A bit of a double standard, to hire Leo and excuse his behavior; But not do so for Dominick, dont you think?

  2. For the record, he was never hired. We were negotiating the possibility of work on HardFriction.com in December when we are in LA. However if Dominik would get cast in one of my big projects at Mustang or Raging Stallion, I certainly wouldn’t stand in his way. He’s a terrific performer and just because I have these rules doesn’t mean I wouldn’t work with him. On the contrary I’d love to, he’s a great performer and a sweet guy.

    1. Are we looking at the same dude? He’s hot and got a nice body (especially that ass). Sorry he isn’t the cardboard cut out porn star.

  3. I like to use what I call the “on-deck-batting-method”
I just wear two condoms at all time and when its time to do the deed, slip one off and I’m a wild man!

  4. Neither Steve Cruz nor any of the condom-only studios should discriminate against a performer just because he does bareback elsewhere in his career or life.

As long as their own porn shoots force everyone to use a condom, they’re covered — so to speak. Cruz would not be endorsing unsafe sex in any way, and the vocal minority of crazies who think so should not be pandered to.

As far as I’m concerned, Cruz would be unfairly discriminating against a performer, as the big studio, bareback witch hunters do.
