Tex Davidson Improving from COVID-19: ‘We All Should Be Caring for One Another’

The former Titan and Raging Stallion star has shared some updates on his condition from his hospital bed in Dallas (cookies from a hairy bud help!), along with replying to fans and addressing people who don’t take the pandemic seriously.

As we posted on Wednesday May 13th, Tex Davidson had shared on social media how he suffered a seizure and stroke, then tested positive for COVID-19. He noted from his bed at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas that he was expected to recover, and thankfully he woke up yesterday feeling much better after being given remdesivir, the drug undergoing a clinical trial for treating patients with COVID-19:

He then followed it up with more messages, noting that he has “taken this serious from day 1 and I wear a mask and stayed home until I had to go back to work. Take this serious people.” He also addressed the “Meth gala” that made the news a few weeks ago, calling attendees a “crowd of selfish party goers, this isn’t the time to think you aren’t going to get it or go back home and give it to your loved ones. This is down right disgusting!!!” He also shared: “Ian Frost, never heard of him until his selfish party going during the pandemic” and had more of a message for him (The Sword covered the NYC party drama and its aftermath if you need updates):

But he’s not fully out of the woods yet:

Tex has been responding to well-wishers on social media, and even reading and responding on The Sword (thanks, Tex! We love you…focus on the positive well-wishers and know that we all love you!). Tex shared this on The Sword: “We all should be caring for one another. Unlike that Ian guy at the party I have been home with my partner quarantined like we should have been doing, but unfortunately I moved during the pandemic and that’s where we think I caught it was from one of the movers. Plus I went back to work but I do take this serious and I mask up and take every precaution I can but that doesn’t mean I won’t catch it nor you.”

He’s also been responding on Queer Me Now, where he shared some terrible news: He’s attached (nooooo!). Which is great for him, but tragic for the rest of us that dreamed we may have a chance (cough * me * cough): “I have a great new career and a loving partner that I have not talked about…I live a very great life with my partner that I’ve been very protected over.”

In the meantime, we hope Tex is feeling even better after some TLC and cookies from this fella…

  1. William "Bill" Moore

All the best. And to the fools ignoring the experts on this they need a wake up call as this can strike anyone regardless of age and social status. Hopefully there’ll be effective drugs and a vaccine to treat this ASAP so we can get back to life, whatever that is and how you define it.

  2. Thanks Tex, for reminding everyone how serious this virus is; especially to those of us who suffered immune system damage in the 80s to another pandemic called AIDS. We have to live in isolation for at least another year.

  3. Just remember the drug Remdesivir, is not a cure. It has helped people recover faster, if at all. But it is much better than that Hydroxy chloroquine Trump was pushing.
