Ben Aldridge, best known for playing the “Arsehole Guy” on Fleabag, has officially come out of the closet! The actor announced the news in a Pride post on Instagram earlier this week.
“The journey to pride was a long one for me,” Aldridge wrote on the photo-sharing app. “I love the LGBTQ+ community and am incredibly proud and thankful to be a part of it. So much won. So much more to fight for.”
In the post, the actor shares a short clip of him quickly kissing an unidentified man along with some black and white photos of previous Pride/protest events.
UK fans may also know Aldridge for playing Captain Charles James in the BBC One show, Our Girl. Since Our Girl and his iconic role in the Emmy-winning Fleabag, the actor has gone on to play Thomas Wayne in the Batman prequel series Pennyworth.
