Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal are next-level heartthrobs. The former is a face of Mount Rushmore when it comes to gay awakenings – just look at him playing The Human Torch in Fantastic Four, wearing nothing but a towel. However, the latter has that daddy energy that social media loves to ogle over. Dakota Johnson’s character has to make the tough decision between the two in Celine Song’s romantic comedy The Materalists, which hits theaters today.
Johnson plays a young, ambitious New York City matchmaker thrust into a love triangle of her own. Will she go with the rich perfection of Pascal’s character or her ex-boyfriend full of heart, played by Chris.
I really dig Chris playing an average guy. From Captain America to an exaggerated role in Knives Out and a hero of the people in Snowpiercer, we’ve seen him take on plenty of fantastical characters. Now, we get to see him in a more natural flow that only makes him even hotter. Beyond his towel scene in Fantastic Four, we’ve also seen his delicious physique in Not Another Teen Movie. He hasn’t lost his sexy edge.
Meanwhile, Pascal looked so handsome as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones in 2011, we keep seeing him everywhere. From Gladiator II to The Last of Us and The Mandalorian, he keeps making the world swoon. Similar to Evans, he’s about to dive into the world of comic book superheroes as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
