The Short Cuts Summer Film Festival Is Officially Here!

We hope you’re ready to add loads of queer short films to your watchlist this summer because over on, you’re about to be served plenty of LGBTQ+ award-winning content thanks to the Short Cuts Summer Film Festival.

This film festival is presented by Falcon | NakedSword X Breaking Glass Pictures and will run all throughout the summer and feature a collection of must-see indie darlings. For the festival’s first edition, NakedSword is adding the Brazilian short Pedro Had A Horse to its library and is highlighting the film throughout the entire month of June.

Written and directed by Brazilian filmmaker Daniel Nolasco, Pedro Had A Horse stars Guilherme Théo, Harry Lins, Conrado Helt, Renata Carvalho, Alexandre Mitre, Daniel Manhães, and Geovaldo Souza. After originally premiering in 2023, this lauded Portuguese short film was awarded Best Screenplay at the Brazilian Short Film Competition along with Best Acting at the Jury Critic Award International Short Film Competition.
