to this city: part performance art venue, part amateur hour, part
gender-blurring costume parade, part star showcase. We are, as you can
tell, sad to see it go.
Thanks to our pal at Lavender Lounge, we have some pics below from last night’s show (see more of his pics and the write-up here). The Sword will also be covering the Trannyshack Kiss-Off Party on August 23 at the Regency Center, featuring performances by Justin Bond, Lady Miss Kier, Ana Matronic, The House of More! and the biggest and best command performances from years past by Fauxnique, Kiddie, Hoku Mama Swamp, Raya Light, Kimo, Putanesca, and more. Get tickets here.
Next week, August 12, will be the final show at the Stud. The party will start at 9PM and not wind down until 4AM. Get there or early or you probably won’t get in. And give Chocolate a tip at the door.
Now, some highlights from last night’s command performances…
Heklina kept commenting that all the stray props, as well as the razor she makes the coat check girl shave her back with, could go for lots of cash on eBay now.
Fauxnique did a brilliant version of “Poses” by Rufus Wainwright, while Falsetta Knockers, in man form, silently posed her and worked her costume made of magazine pages.
Kiddie turned herself into Jame Gumb from Silence of the Lambs, lip-synch screaming at Hoku Mama “It puts the lotion in the basket,” and then doing the requisite tuck and pose.
Rentecca’s “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue”: she pulled those blue anal beads out of her ass right before this shot. After, she put them in her mouth. Then she threw them at an audience member.
Kimo did a great number using a sound collage of all the demonic lines the little girl said in The Exorcist.
Juanita More! stopped in to pay her respects.
We <heart> Becky Motorlodge.
