This App Lets You Log, Review, & Rate Adult Films

When I’m not watching excessive amounts of porn for this blog, I like to unwind by watching excessive amounts of film and random TV shows. But while I enjoy watching random films, my true passion is logging and rating them on Letterboxd, a film diary and review app and website. So you can only imagine how excited I was when I found out that the popular movie app is starting to allow users to log, rate, and review adult films.

Earlier today, Letterboxd, which until recently had only been used for rating big mainstream films like The Suicide Squad or Mamma Mia, posted that “more than 1,500 adult films” have been added to its site and more are set to be added at a later date. The new selection of adult XXX films specifically focuses on movies that are “historically, culturally, controversially and artistically significant adult films, in genres including sexploitation, kink, all-male, cult, fetish, porn parodies, hardcore classics and more.”

In an unsurprising twist, most of the adult films available to review and log on Letterboxd are straight projects, but there are still a handful of iconic gay films that you’ve probably seen before! And if you’re a fan of vintage Falcon Studios films, then you’re definitely familiar with at least a couple of the titles.

Some notable mentions of Falcon films that Letterboxd lets you review include Spokes and The Other Side of Aspen – and yes, that includes parts one, two, three, and four of the legendary franchise.

Other notable queer, vintage films include projects like Michael Zen’s Falconhead, Al Parker & Steve Scott’s Games, Tom De Simone’s The Idol, Arch Brown’s The Night Before, Gorton Hall’s The Experiment, and Peter DeRome’s Adam And Yves and The Erotic Films Of Peter DeRome.

There is also a large collection of movies from director Jack Deveau like Times Square Strip, A Night At The Adonis, Rough Trades, Ballet Down The Highway, Left-Handed, and Dune Buddies.

In terms of more recent films that didn’t come out 500 years ago, Bruce LaBruce films like L.A. Zombie and Skin Flick are available to review. In addition to those, the giant orgy films American Bukkake Military Grade and American Bukkake, the taboo movie Dad Gets Into Troubleand 2012’s After The Heist are also available to rate on the platform.

There’s no word yet on just how extensive the site’s collection of porn will be or if they’ll ever expand their library to include adult films that aren’t considered incredibly significant to the film industry, but who knows?! Maybe someday soon the app will feature every gay porn title known to man and we’ll all be able to have one giant, mainstream database that features everyone’s honest opinions of the porn they’re watching. We can only dream!

So what do you think of this? Will you be logging and reviewing your favorite porn projects? Are you curious to see other people’s reviews on these films? Which classic and iconic XXX films do you want to see added to the Letterbox platform? Sound off in the comments below with your hot thoughts!

  1. I agree with the 1 star rating comment. This app is a nice idea but about 14 years to late. Not many people pay for studio porn anymore. Onlyfans and free porn is the way of the future

  2. Yes, it can’t hurt, as a consumer if we can help an industry spot an emerging talent or theme, that can keep an independent alive and Cummings,it is a great idea, otherwise, all the films look the same, and its a question of biggest cock, hottest hole,dp,fist, and which drugs make the boys fuck like rabbits, and cum like stallions, over and over again.
