“High Seas” where “high” is the operative word. An Atlantis gay cruise to the Caribbean left Discovery Channel’s Joel Taylor dead and gay porn star Dirk Caber hospitalized.
As has been reported, Taylor, 38, who starred in the Discovery show “Storm Chasers” passed away.
TMZ added that he died of a suspected drug overdose. “Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, “It appears the death could be an overdose and Joel Taylor was consuming controlled substances.”

“A passenger who interacted with Joel tells TMZ, Joel had consumed enough GHB on the dance floor Tuesday that he was rendered unconscious and taken off the dance floor by 2 people and back to his room. Taylor was found unresponsive in his cabin Tuesday and law enforcement was alerted when the boat arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico.”
We’re told among the drugs … Ecstasy and cocaine. Passengers even posted on social media when they were boarding that several people were arrested at the Ft. Lauderdale port — where the boat departed — for possession of drugs.
Gay porn couple Jesse Jackman and Dirk Caber were on the same cruise.
As the plugged in GayDailyHot first broke, Dirk & Jesse left the ship after Dirk was found unconscious and sent to a Puerto Rico hospital.
“Dirk and Jesse had a fight, causing Dirk to get drunk and pass out, only to later discover he had pneumonia, forcing the couple to leave the ship for a Puerto Rico hospital.”
From there, the blogosphere has chimed in everything from suggesting a “chemical incident” to serious mental anguish that led concerned passengers to contact members of the ship’s crew. Dirk was then found shortly, diagnosed with pneumonia and moved from the ship to the hospital.
[UPDATE] Queerty is now adding “We’re told the FBI is investigating the circumstances of Taylor’s death, how the drugs got on board and who supplied them.”
We wish Dirk a complete and very speedy recovery and comfort to the friends and family of Joel Taylor.

Joel Taylor was a fine man who died way too young. Good looking, nice muscular body, and he also had the hardest big cock I have ever seen. It pointed to the ceiling. I have yet to see pictures published of him on the cruise. There were thousands of men with smart phones and he was a former TV celebrity. Why no photos out there over three years later?

Pft. That Joel guy didn’t have to die. His “friends” should have taken him to the doctor. The crew should have seen them hauling an unconscious body through the ship to his room. They should never have allowed a man to be passed out alone.
As far as dirk goes, big deal… got a bit drunk, had fight with boyfriend, stormed off. Posted angry thing on Facebook. Most of us have done something comparable. He probably passed out from the waking pneumonia and alcohol. Again, happened to a lot of people and nobody would have cared if he wasn’t famous in gay circles.
I thought every gay knew you never mix G with alcohol it is a dangerous and sometimes deadly combination. Sadly that may be what killed Joel Taylor.
I am glad that Dirk was able to get medical attention at a hospital in PR. Things are still pretty bad there from the hurricanes so hopefully the hospital has everything it needs to care for him or get him ready to be transferred back to a medical facility in the mainland USA.
