RuPaul’s Drag Race doesn’t always have a squeaky clean history when it comes to their contestants. Queens like Tyra Sanchez, Mimi Imfurst, and various others have brought extreme amounts of controversy to the franchise. And apparently after this year’s fiasco of having to edit Sherry Pie out of season twelve, the producers want to steer clear of any hints of misconduct.
Famed journalist Michael Musto took to Queerty to release some steaming hot tea about the upcoming season of Drag Race. Apparently, there was one queen who was sent home before filming even started! Producers found out about an XXX club act they did and they didn’t want to take any chances, so they kicked her off before she even stepped foot in the Werk Room.

Pity the NYC drag star (I won’t name her, but contrary to some buzz, it is not the popular Jasmine Rice LaBeija) who went all the way to L.A. to shoot RuPaul’s Drag Race’s season 13 and was sent right back home, wigs in tow, before filming even began. Challenge lost! I hear the producers found out that in her club act, the queen asks audience members for their phones and then does some comical tinkering, and as a result, everyone there on AirDrop gets to see that person’s nudies. Eek!
The show no doubt didn’t want another Sherry Pie, though this particular stunt seems more mischievous than evil. I like the gal and am sure she will rise again—but strictly with her own phone.
According to some Reddit sleuths, the mention of New York queen Jasmine Rice LaBeija in the story was added in after many assumed the blind item was about her. People still haven’t found out who the specific queen is actually is, but we’re sure it will come to light soon enough.

That’s so stupid. Detox, Violet Chachki, Jade Jolie… Many contestants had done porn in the past, yet were able to compete.
You are so damned right! Many of the contestant had done porn sometimes and somehow. That is their business.
After everybody saw that particular person’s nude photos, he found the love of his life, right there and then. The story would have been painted differently. Could that person be a setup for the show?
Who cares what they have done before? I mean , I love Ru, but when i was in Atlanta back in the day and she was dancing in a cage at LL? And jeez, back in the 80s and
90s NONE of us were Angels !
