“I had a clear vision in mind. But I wasn’t expecting to have the entire project initially rejected by the distributor.” ~Vice director Steve Cruz
Vice – as in sexual. Vice as in “vice squad”. And “Vice” the gay porn movie from Raging Stallion.
As it turned out, in some people’s eyes, they play well together.
To get the real story behind the controversy, the original intent, and the final grand bargain, The Sword sat down with director Steve Cruz.
This is his story in more than ways than one.

Take it away, Steve …
“This isn’t about getting high. This drug turns people queer into dick addicts, not drug addicts.”
“It’s a fictional story about drug trafficking and trading. But because there’s also porn, that made it unacceptable to the banks who process credit cards. If I made the same movie minus the graphic sex, I would have gotten a green light from cable TV and YouTube.”
“Just like “Gun Show” wasn’t about politics or guns but the fucked up thinking of the people who promote both, this isn’t about drugs, but the promoters of them. We’re making fun of the ridiculousness of the drug cartels, not the addicts on a pipe.”
“The cast was wonderful. Everything came together. There are no weak scenes. Everyone got into the fun of the character and weren’t afraid to inhabit them 100%.”
“I think it one of the best things I’ve made. We always say that. But it’s true. The sex was amazing. The cast was incredible. I felt so honored to be a part of this – to have the guys help me realize my vision.”
What we’ll see over the next few weeks is the bank approved version where it’s just the sex. However, the full director’s cut with the fully realized story and sex will be available at the Falcon Studios Group Store.
