Was he popular in high school? “Absolutely not! I hung out with like the emo kids and the wrestlers. That was it. I was in all the AP classes and I didn’t even like any of those smart people. They’re all stuck up. That’s not my thing…yes, I was a state wrestler in high school!”

On engineering: “How much extra education will it take to work on electric cars? For me, nothing…I studied electrical engineering for a while, so working on cars is the same. You need a basic knowledge of DC voltage and AC voltage, and you can probably do it. But there are some courses popping up little by little, and I do intend to take one whenever (electric cars) get a little more (prevalent), because right now it’s like just Tesla—and it costs a lot of money and you have to work with them. I’m gonna wait until everybody has electric cars, and then I’ll start doing it. I studied engineering for a long time, of all different sorts. There’s not much I can’t fix or design on a computer. I did not finish university—I dropped out to do porn, because I made more money that way—and still make more money that way. I was going for electrical engineering. I wanted to be a theoretical physicist, but I was just like…there’s no jobs for that.”

On creating his porn star name: “I’ve always kind of liked the named Johnny, and I was trying to find a word that would go after Johnny that also meant fast, and Rapid is what I came up with. I also like the ocean, so it was like rapid, rapids, water…it all worked together, and I was like, ‘That’s the one!'”

Does your family know about your success in porn? “Absolutely, and they are super supportive…I do have an amazing family.”

Ethic background? “I am Cherokee Indian and something like Irish or Scottish…but there’s a lot of Cherokee in me.”

When you were younger in porn, did you ever have a crush on one of your co-stars? “Yes…God, what was his name? I can’t remember. It was the top in our baseball scene, the group baseball scene that we did (for Men.com)…Andrew Stark…yes, that’s him. About that 2013 I’m a Porn Star documentary… “Oh my God, let’s talk about that real quick. Because the things that I said in that wasn’t the whole truth; they just picked and (chose) the bad stuff, I felt like. It wasn’t cute…the whole thing about making women bleed, that was just not cute at all…but like all the stuff about the nice things that I’ve done in my life, they just completely cut that out. They don’t need that; they want the dramatic stuff. I absolutely hate that film…the way that they painted me made me sick to my stomach, and I feel bad for anybody that has to watch that.”

Would he rather Bill Gates, or Elon Musk? “God…that’s kind of a hard one. Bill Gates, because he’s, you know, the original…Musk, he’s kind of crazy. So I feel like the sex would be good cause he’s crazy.”

On going commando: “I literally never wear underwear. I only put underwear on for dressy events, black tie events and these (shows)…just so you guys can maybe purchase them at the end. I like going commando.”

On his favorite stuffed animals: “That is T-Rex, and I won him and Branchiosaurus at the same time. You all know those giant, giant crane machines? I just put in 20 bucks, and I hit it a few times, and the third time, it reached it and got two of ’em…that was pretty cool. This my fluffy!”

Favorite food? “It’s just gonna be good ol’ country soul food. I’m actually gonna cook some tomorrow. You know, collard greens and candied yams, a good ol’ roast or catfish, that kind of stuff. Meatloaf, black-eyed peas, green beans, good glass of sweet tea, pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie, pecan pie…I grew up on oatmeal. My grandmother used to make me a good bowl of oatmeal every morning before school, and she’d make it just right. It was just the right amount of soupy, just the right amount of sweet. She’d top it and give me some buttered toast or some cinnamon toast, and I actually used to use my toast as my spoon. Oh God, that takes me back!”

On his new favorite social scene: “Am I going out tonight?” he laughs. “Y’all, I’m an old man. This boy don’t go out like that anymore. I get a good night’s rest…I wake up and have me some warm tea and some breakfast and go outside on my patio and prop my feet up op my outdoor furniture, and I just kind of like sip my tea, eat my breakfast and have myself a good morning. I’m past the whole going out and getting drunk every night stuff.”
