That Time Again: Do Women Belong In Gay Porn?

Judging by the offerings du jour, it’s becoming apparent that gay porn has a 30-day cycle. But is this “monthly visitor” any more welcome this time?

Shy three days, it was this same last month when once again Leo Luckett’s irresistible ass was also a homewrecker: that time coming between Darin Silvers and his Mrs.

Today, he’s the blonde minx that delivers Jack Hunter from the hetero-normative of his unrewarding domestic sex life with his other half.

I get they struck viral gold with the original “Right In Front Of My Salad?” But I don’t think Men.com gets it that WIll & Grace is back on the small screen and estrogen-laced comic farce is not what we’re looking for when it comes to our blue screen viewing.

Do they think we get some pleasure seeing women reduced to hapless buffoons? Do they not know that we know these are recycled straight porn plots that lose something in translation … like everything? And most of all, do they not realize that painting gay sex is something that has to be hidden and clandestine is a major boner kill?

Of course, they don’t. For them, it must be easier to put a dame in the plot than invest some time in the actual production of a worthwhile product that stands on its own merits.

Today it seems especially egregious to me. With the bottom of the moment and rising star Leo Luckett and big, versatile, tear-em-up Jack Hunter bring more than enough to the party without resorting to party tricks was all we needed in the first place? Actually, don’t answer. Just watch and you tell me.

[ORIGINAL POST] October 7
The reintroduction of transmen in gay porn is a discussion we had last week ahead of tomorrow’s debut of “The Devil’s Deal and Other Sordid Tales” from NakedSword Originals featuring Viktor Belmont. That will be an ongoing discussion. But not the one for today either.

We’re not talking about transmen here. We’re talking about when studios interject cisgendered females into a gay porn scene. Is that a novelty? A boner kill? Or possibly both?

Women are not a sole plot point but part of a studio resurrecting the str8 guy schtick yet again. Studios must think that having one of character start off as allegedly heterosexual make it more saleable and ultimately more profitable or it would have been abandoned long ago. It doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. But how did it start in the first place?

The only guest appearances in the early Sean Cody days was Sean Cody himself.
Back the halcyon days of the web, a large part of the Sean Cody allure was the promise of real straight guys at first acquiescing to, then coming to enjoy, gay sex. That was part of it. Another part is back then, Sean Cody also held to the highest standards of filming and casting. While even Sean Cody seems to have abandoned the later, far too many studios are still trying to make hay with the former.

No one beats this dead horse that refuses to die more than Men.com. The viral success of “Right In Front Of My Salad?” and the regrettable “Right In Front Of My Salad Again?” they interpreted as a taciturn endorsement of the premise while skipping over the more salient question, is that what gay men are not just making memes about, but getting off too.

women belong gay pornMen.com first introduced their “Stealth Fuckers” back in October 2015 and that franchise posted scene 13 at the beginning of this year. Essentially, it’s about hooking up under the nose of roommates or boyfriends but more often than not, wives, girlfriends, daughters, or the office hoe, with said offendee making at least a cameo appearance but often interwoven right into the action.

Harmless fun on the surface they say. Weaving cheating, betrayal, and the like as necessary ingredients for hot gay sex is also what they are doing I say. And I don’t like that message any more than I like the visuals. If the time and energy spent on those insipid plot lines were focused on the upping the quality of the actual sex scenes, gay porn land would be a much hotter place.

If you had to hazard a guess at what Men.com unveiled today, you’d be right. “insatiable” Leo Luckett begs Darin Silvers to fuck him. But, Darrin is initially hesitant because his wife is in the other room. Insert your “right in front of shampoo and conditioner?” joke here.

So, back to the question, err, at hand. When it comes to your erotic enjoyment, do women belong in gay porn?

  1. What caught my attention was the lone pic of Sean Cody in a video. I’ve long wondered what he looks like. which of his videos was that?

  2. Women in the background of a gay scene is a turn-off, and so is the unexpected “unveiling” of a transgender person. The women are usually portrayed as nasty bitches that “won’t put out” to rationalize the boyfriend’s betrayal. To gay men that aren’t misogynists, that’s a tiresome story line, even before delving into the fucked-up rationalizing of cheating. As for transgendered porn, I’m not against it, but I’m not interested in it either. Do we expect straight people to want gay scenes thrown into straight-marketed porn? No, it gets labeled as bi. Perhaps there is a market for porn that combines trans and gay scenes, but studios should do it under a separate label. Years ago, Falcon Studios had Jock and Maverick as divisions that marketed to different audiences. Studios could do something similar for trans porn.

  3. NO IT IS A REAL DICK FLOP WHEN THESE WOMEN APPEAR ! iF I WANTED WOMEN IN MY GAY PORN I WOULD WATCH STRAIGHT PORN !!! ,,BUT I DO NOT BECAUSE I AM GAY AND WANT TO SEE MEN NOT WOMEN

  4. The point of porn is something for everyone (within reason and legal limits). If people get off to the porn then why not. Some people are gay, some are straight, and some are bi, some are women who enjoy gay porn and even the idea of joining in with their gay roommate if they catch them. As long as someone’s enjoying it and it’s consensual and no one is harmed why not? If I don’t like it, I don’t have to watch it.

    1. You’re right that nobody has to watch what they don’t like; however, if you’ve paid for a video or subscription expecting x number of hot scenes for your money, you don’t appreciate being thrown a scene that is a boner-killer and so totally off-track of what you expect from a studio.

  5. They’re never great actresses and always ran away when the catch their husbands/boyfriends/fiancées cheating. Not going to defend porn actors but I don’t mind about it really.

  6. I’m not opposed to it. I think it adds an interesting dynamic to the mix. Definitely more options in terms of scene setups.
