World Cup Skier Hig Roberts Comes Out! See His Hottest Pics

Former World Cup alpine ski racer Hig Roberts is speaking out about his sexuality for the first time with The New York Times. In an interview published Sunday, the 29-year-old officially told the world that he is gay.

Roberts was the first alternate to the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Games, made 31 World Cup starts, and has won two national titles. The Times notes that he is “the first current or former male Alpine skier of his caliber to come out publicly as gay in a sport seen as closed and clubby.”

“I just woke up one morning and I said, ‘Enough is enough,'” Roberts told the publication. “I love this sport more than anything — I’m so lucky and privileged to be doing this — but I can’t go on another day not trying to achieve the person that I am meant to be. Which I think for each and every one of us, one of those main goals needs to be happiness and authenticity.”

Roberts is now one of many newly out professional athletes that we can thirst over. This year alone we’ve seen coming out statements from future Olympian Maarten Hurkmans and soccer hunk/Insta hottie Robert Beattie. Now, unfortunately for us, Hig Robert’s Instagram isn’t as steamy as Beattie’s page, but he’s still got some pretty hot pics on there.
