Until today, it’s been hard to get a straight (pun intended) answer regarding the rumored shuttering of all the Next Door Studios’ individual performer sites. Now, Rod Daily all but confirms it: Tonight is his last “live show” for his eponymous site. Which other exclusive models are on their way out?
I’m told that Marcus Mojo and Rod Daily have already contacted multiple studios, including Cocky Boys and Falcon, looking for work. Trystan Bull’s site hasn’t been updated in over 45 days. Donny Wright, who just signed an exclusive contract with Next Door in June, has already been cut loose and is shooting for Men.com. Meanwhile, Next Door is offering memberships to all of their sites at a discounted close-out price of $14.95. Everything must go!
And as Next Door continues to stop production on their performers’ sites (Rod Daily, Samuel O’Toole, Marcus Mojo), they’ve reinvented themselves as a hosting and content manager for outside producers (Dylan Lucas, High Performance Men, Raging Stallion). That means there will be less and less original content from Next Door…with one exception. The sole performer staying on with his own site will be, you guessed it, gay porn legend Cody Cummings. And that makes sense, seeing as Cody has been with Next Door since they started over 75 years ago.

Wow, I certainly saw this one coming. Why continue paying out good money to models and crew when you can sucker some sad studios to provide you with their mediocre content and you take the lion’s share of the profits. How long will that last remains to be the $100,000 question.
I don’t see how Dylan Lucas will last much longer. It’s just a shoot off of Pacific Blue Models with infrequent updates and talent that has already quit or are about to quit shooting porn. All those “exclusives” NDM signed around the time Austin and Anthony were hardly used. Maybe they got a IPAD out of it for “other services rendered”, but don’t things to be like they were before they signed to NDM. The pay is less, the work isn’t as plentiful, and you aren’t going to get any kind of preferential treatment.
