Antonio Biaggi Files Paperwork To Run For Office, Immediately Called Out For Past Racism

Earlier this month, Juan Melecio, better known as Antonio Biaggi, filed paperwork to run for a commission seat in Wilton Manors, Florida.

The announcement of his plans to run for office were immediately met with reports of a 2016 defamation lawsuit between Melecio and a Black police officer in Richmond, Virginia. Sun Sentinel reports that the porn star was accused of telling the officer to “go pick cotton you n—–. ” Melecio denies the accusations.

Forming A Movement (F.A.M), a Florida-based nonprofit committed to “unifying and uplifting the Black LGBT Community,” brought up other racism-related issues with Melecio this week and expressed concerns of someone with a racist past being placed in public office.

“RACISM in Wilton Manors!!! Blacks have been complaining about the racial unfairness in Wilton 4 quite sometime,” wrote the organization on Facebook. “So do we now want a man with documented claims of racial comments (link below) to be a City Commissioner?”

The post from F.A.M. linked to an article reporting on Melecio tweeting hate about Beyoncé and making comments about “twerking” and “KFC.”

“She has no talent whatsoever any black girl that has the decent Voice with a big crew of queens will do the same thing that she does,” tweeted Biaggi. “I’m so afraid of the beehive keep twerking and Voguing that will pay for your KFC on my way to one of my three business great day.”

Melecio went on Q News Tonight to clarify his past tweets and said that the “KFC” tweet was a reply to a specific person who actually worked at KFC. The interviewer doesn’t seem to challenge Melecio on any of his responses to his alleged racism, but he really should have pushed further into his answer about the KFC worker, because his response about there being an actual KFC worker that he was calling out and replying to seems… suspicious.

Str8UpGayPorn reported on the KFC tweet when he originally tweeted it out and their post makes no mention it being a reply to a KFC employee. Hornet, Queerty, South Florida Gay News, The Gay Republic, and That Grape Juice also reported on his tweets and there is not a single mention of an actual KFC employee in their posts. There isn’t even a “replying to _____” in the screenshots, so there’s no evidence to show this was a reply to a specific person. It seems to just be a general, tone-deaf, racist tweet that he sent out.

  1. Okay, as bad as it is that he has made such racist comments, I find it ironic that a gay site doesn’t even mention that he has also said , if elected, that he was going to work at cutting funding for gay events and Pride events and use those funds to do more heteronormative events in the hope of attracting their business.
Seems Antonio thinks Wilton Manors is to gay, but of course, that’s not worthy of being reported on gay porn and gay news sites.

    1. I get your complaint, but The Sword (or Queerty, or Towlerod), does not provide investigative reports. They re-post stuff they find on other sites, or television. Please do not have an expectation of any sort of complete, in depth reporting of any kind on this site, The Sword is strictly for entertainment.

  2. Things in the past don’t always stay in the past. Many times like this, they come back to bite you in the balls!
