An 18-year-old Redditor just got a little more than he bargained for when he was scrolling through his phone looking for dick. Earlier this week, someone using the username u/jasonamar took to the r/askgaybros subreddit, the same page where men reveal how often they jerk off and their go-to gay porn categories, to share what happened to him when his 22-year-old brother discovered his Grindr profile.
“I used Grindr last night to find a hookup,” reads the post. “I use a blurry picture of myself so that people don’t know it’s me. In the middle of searching, a text from my brother pops up so I read it. It’s a screenshot that he sent to me of my Grindr profile and it’s captioned, ‘You at college doing homework or getting dick?'”
The user, who describes both him and his brother as “closeted” in the comment section of this post, goes to explain that he found the text from his brother funny even though the situation was a little embarrassing.
“I didn’t expect my brother to have a Grindr,” continued the post. “He expressed that he only said something because it was a relief.”
One commenter on the post revealed that they actually knew a pair of gay twins in real life that… umm… did a lot more than message each other Grindr screenshots. u/jasonamar replied saying he knew of some very close twins as well and while he isn’t particularly interested in getting to know his brother like that, he would consider “tag-teaming a guy” with his older sibling. (Wouldn’t be the first time we saw two real-life brothers tag team someone…)
If we’re being honest, this post about the brothers and Grindr screenshot sounds more like an elaborate intro to a scene from FamilyDick or Gaycest than anything. It’s a cute story about two queer and closeted brothers though, so I think it’s fine to just assume that this is a genuine story that actually happened.

I don’t know if this story is true but it’s very common. Most people are bisexual, and centuries of pointless sexual repression are finally ending. People are starting to accept their sexualities a lot more easily despite social pressure from the older generation.
Last night I saw a new documentary called A SEXPLANATION made by a delightful and very attractive Gaysian guy named Alex Liu. One of the most entertaining and informative documentaries I’ve seen in a long time. It’s available on DVD. Highly recommended.
I had a younger brother who was gay too, but it was waaay before the days of Grindr etc. He died of AIDS at 28 in 1993.
Sorry for your loss, even though it was a while back. HIV/AIDS took so many people. I have many friends who I thought moved away only to discover the reason.
