COVID: Hollywood Expected To Film New Sex Scenes Using CGI

California has been given the green light to resume film production starting on June 12, but that doesn’t mean everything is going back to the way it was. Guidelines from the film editors’ trade association present new rules on how a set should operate during the pandemic – including how to film sex scenes.

According to The Sun, the 22-page file says that all “close contact moments” should be “either rewritten, abandoned or CGI fixes them.” So if you were looking forward to your favorite actors get it on in any new HBO or Netflix shows, you might end up having to watch some computer-generated graphics go at it instead. You hate to see it.

We’ve already been introduced to some CGI sex scenes. Last month, we saw François Sagat’s meaty cock in CGI form in Men.com’s Tom of Finland: Future Erotica. And while that was hot as fuck, we honestly prefer the real thing. But maybe these Hollywood movies will do more realistic nudity instead of stylized computer animations.

Sex scenes aren’t the only thing changing on film sets though! Everyone from superstar actors to the crew must be tested daily and go through “formal hand-washing lessons.” Auditions will be done behind plexiglass and there will be medical “coronavirus compliance officers” present at all events. In addition to that, all backstage crew will be wearing masks and visors and shows will continue to be filmed without a live studio audience.

What do you think of the new filming regulations? Should California resume filming? Should they wait to open back up? Are these rules too strict? Sound off in the comments below.

  1. I’m confused by this limp dick “article!” However, Hollywood needs to get back to the olden days when it comes to “love/sex scenes, many more marriages will be saved or at least last longer.

  2. The rules are strict, but at least companies and everyone concerned will be making some money. It will be a long time, if ever, before things are back to normal. After all, there’s already a term in place for what we can expect in the future. New normal.
