Porn star Derek Kage is known for his versatility. Derek appeared on Adam Ramzi and Cole Connor’s Sorry for Asking podcast, where he discussed the differences between the gay side of porn and other corners of the industry. Whether he’s talking about his vasectomy or working with non-cisgender male performers, some users called him “not really gay” and “promoting conversion therapy.”
He has a message for those people – “Stop being so close-minded and stop pushing your thoughts and whatever you think a gay man is on someone else. What I identify as is what I identify as, and that’s my fucking business.”
Derek only cares about making hot content. He acknowledged that some people might not be thrilled that he’s “getting more scenes on the straight side than I am on the gay side. And with trans and bi and anything that’s not strictly with a cisgender man.”
Nevertheless, he told Adam and Cole that if he were ever to invest in a romantic relationship, it would be with a cisgender man. “I need dick … I also need just a nice pair of balls. That is a thing for me,” he said.
Adam played devil’s advocate about what makes him gay, if he’s willing to involve himself with vaginas on camera. The deep-voiced hottie recalled growing up in Alabama in the 90s during the AIDS epidemic and struggling with wanting to be with men over women.
Furthermore, he thought back to fellow porn creator Jonah Wheeler‘s take on social media.
“‘I identify as gay because that is the best description of what I am into sexually,'” Derek paraphrased. “He was like, ‘Bisexual, pansexual, it’s way too broad.’ Bisexual assumes 50/50, you could go either way. That’s entirely too broad. Pansexual – I would be so much more gay than anything else. It’s too broad. ”
Derek concluded: “Gay identifies me best because that is the most accurate predictor of what I’m going to go for with regard to sex and romance and anything else, if I were to be interested in romance.”
