The 55-year-old actor earned major praise for his performance on the medical drama series, but social media erupted in outrage at People naming him the Sexiest Man Alive for 2026.
“Not even the sexiest in that show,” one commenter said. I mean, Patrick Ball and Ned Browser are both more attractive.
But other commenters defend the pick, defending both his physical looks and his personality. Wyle’s wife, Sara, convinced the actor to accept the title. “She thinks I’m a good guy and that the kind of person that I am and the kind of father I am, the kind of husband I am, is worth promoting,” he said. “I thought, ‘Okay, if you say so.’”
