Last week, I asked some of the gay porn industry’s most influential stars and producers a simple question: Who are you voting for in the presidential election on November 6th?
While the overwhelmingly pro-Obama responses weren’t surprising, some of the reasons why they’re voting for him were.

I’m voting for President Obama because he has done a great job keeping us out of a great depression and has kept most of his promises. He told us he would implement universal health care, kill Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and get Osama Bin Laden, and he did. His main failure has been to communicate to the American people what a great job he’s done. Romney, on the other hand, is a demagogue who will say anything to get elected.

In the upcoming election I will be voting for Barack Obama. Here are a few reasons why I am voting for him.
1: His position on civil rights and equality.
2: His support for a healthcare system that serves those that need it.
3: His emphasis on the importance of education.
Obama has been turning our country around despite following 8 years of poor policies. Recovery is happening now and with four more years I believe Obama will be able to continue leading the country on a path to fix those mishaps. Quick fixes can’t happen after 8 years of poor decisions led to these disasters and we shouldn’t expect things to be instantly better. I feel Romney would undo much of the progress Obama has made.

For me, I’m voting for Obama. The reason I’m voting for Obama is that he has done things to support the LGBT community and fight for human equality. Voting for someone who will fight to allow me the same rights as the straight American who lives next door to me will be my first choice.

The next president of the USA should be the one who actually has a plan, and is not just going to wing it. That’s why come Tuesday, I will be voting for a better America. I’m hesitant to vote third party because I got burned voting for Nader instead of Gore in 2000, BUT I respect people who are clear in their ideals on any ticket. There is no such thing as a “wasted vote,” if you are voting with the courage of your convictions.
