The dreamboat just made his debut appearance on the Discretion Advised podcast with hosts Marc MacNamara and John Hill to talk all about his time in the Navy, how Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT) impacted his life, and if he ever hooked up with anyone during his time in the military.

Being in the Navy during Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell:
The hosts started off the interview by getting into Reign’s history with the Navy. When asked if he knew that he was gay when he started his military career in 2009, a confident Reign said that he “100% knew” and described himself as “flaming.” Reign later said that with DADT still in effect, everyone in the military was told not to talk about their sexuality if they were queer.
“When you come in, they literally tell you, ‘If you’re gay, don’t talk about it. Cause you’ll literally get kicked out the military if they find out that you’re gay, transgender, anything like that,” revealed the porn star. “They will just kick you out of the military – no questions.”
Some actually pretended to be gay”
While discussing DADT, Reign even said that he knew of some others that would lie and purposely say they were gay “as a way to get out of the military.”

Are you family? The gay military code:
Reign said that when he was in the military and you still weren’t allowed to discuss your sexuality, there was a secret code out there to help people figure out who was actually gay.
“So we had a code, we had a code,” said Reign. “If you wanted to know if somebody was gay in the military, we’d go and ask people, ‘Are you family?’ The people who were gay, were like, ‘Yeah, I’m family.’ And that’s how we would talk to each other and find out if we were gay or not.”
If he ever hooked up while in the military:
When asked by Marc if he ever hooked up with anyone in the military family, Reign gave a very knowing look and replied with a simple, “Baby, baby. Of course!” and said that he has been with “many” of them.
Post-Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell:
After DADT was repealed and Reign was open with his sexuality in the military, he said that while he continued to just be his authentic self, he did face some hate from others around him.
“I had a little backlash actually when I did make it known that I was gay,” recalled Reign. “One of my supervisors was like gossiping about me, talking about, ‘How can he be gay? Blah, blah, blah. He’s always talking about how he’s a Christian!’ Which I am – I am a Christian. So I stopped talking to him and he got so offended because I didn’t talk to him.”
How his military friends reacted to his porn career:
When asked how his former military pals would react to seeing his porn, Reign said that some of them are actually subscribed to him!
“They’re like really happy for me,” gushed Reign. “It’s so crazy the support I get from my military friends and my friends back home. They are very supportive of me doing porn, like very. They’re very happy for me which is insane. I never thought I was going to get that. I thought I was going to get drama and gossip, but everyone messages me and they’re so happy for me and proud of me.

Some how I don’t believe half his story the military. Sounds like BS to me. Just like the comments posted here describing the Marine’s and Navy . Military. Don’t believe half the crap.
The Haunted Head in Oceanside, California just outside Camp Pendelton is the spot to pick up Marines. It used to be off-limits to service members, but as long as there were no drunken episodes the CO looked the other way. Now that being gay in the military is not an issue it’s a hot spot. There’s also a place where DL jarheads hang, but we don’t advertise it for their privacy. So believe the stories or not it’s true. The M in Marines stands for Mary and the N in Navy is Nancy. I have no experience with Army or Airforce so can’t speak to that

I’m very happy for Reign. I was wondering after DADT was appealed and the U.S. military let gay men enter was there a glass ceiling established as to high up in command you are allowed to reach? Are there open gay commanders? I was never in the military. After I graduated from High School in 1971. President Nixon abandoned the draft and lowered the voting age to 18. That is how he won his 2nd term as president. Every male 18-21 had lottery numbers the lower the number you had you would be drafted immediately after graduation. Everyone new they were headed to Vietnam, a death sentence, so we all voted for him to be reelected. Then we made sure he upheld his end of the bargain.
Or course! I know by own experience that there is a lot of gay sex in the military. A lot!!!
If walls/hotel rooms could talk, the stories would be endless. When I worked in the hotel, the most flamboyant guys were the marines and navy. They were the ones constantly kicked out of the hotels due to the drunken sex waking up other visitors.
I had a roommate who would pick up STR8 service guys, who acted all macho before they went up to his room. Squealing gay sex all night and they’d be singing show tunes the next morning
