In case you couldn’t tell, Lil Nas X has had an extreme grip on us throughout his entire Montero album promotion cycle. I mean, he’s been releasing bop after bop, he’s hot as hell, and he’s literally the only A-list male musician out there that’s constantly releasing horny content, so why wouldn’t we be obsessed with him?! He is the moment!
Well, after several months and some excessive coverage of Lil Nas giving Satan a lap dance, ripping his pants, kissing his dancer, having a possible secret boyfriend, and dancing in his stoned underwear, we’ve finally arrived at the Montero release date. The album just officially dropped and spoiler alert for anyone who hasn’t had the chance to listen: It fuckin’ slaps. It is a slap of an album that’s full of fuckin’ slappers.
Along with the new album, Lil Nas X also just released the official music video for one of his best songs – THATS WHAT I WANT. Like everything else we’ve seen from the 22-year-old, the video is unapologetically queer and it even has some surprise gay references thrown in as a bonus!
The video follows the rapper as he discovers that the lover he’s been going on cowboy camping trips with is hiding a secret family. Upon the release of this video, many on Twitter were quick to point out that the campout scene, a shot of Lil Nas crying in a car, and select other moments were reminiscent of the 2005 Oscar-winning film Brokeback Mountain.
In addition to some subtle Brokeback references, the video also features an extremely hot scene with Lil Nas X and his football lover hooking up in the locker room. Lil Nas X can be seen shirtless as the two passionately make out, strip down, and head to the locker room showers for some anal action. (Not the first time we’ve seen Lil Nas X naked in a shower!)
We then get a surprise shot of Lil Nas X ripping open a condom in what is probably the most seamless ad placement that we’ve ever seen in a music video and honestly – him tearing open that rubber was hot as hell. This is probably the only time I’ve ever watched a video on the internet and been genuinely ecstatic to see a condom appear out of no where.
And in case you’re wondering, it looks like Lil Nas X is staying true to his power bottom roots in this video. While he don’t see much in the shower scene, it’s pretty obvious that the rapper is the one taking charge of all the bottoming duties.

We honestly didn’t think there would be anything else to add to this post, but over the weekend, Lil Nas X took to his various social media accounts to post some almost-nude photos and a snapshot of his entire, uncovered ass! Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m almost positive that this is the first time we’ve seen a full photo of the star’s uncensored booty. Hopefully more pics are on the way as he continues to promote his album! Take a look below:

I like that he is out and showing his talent. I’m just not a big fan of his music overall. I wish he would do some duets with gay icons like Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Deborah Cox, Lady Ga Ga, etc. I bet he could have an awesome club/dance hit with any of them!
I’m happy that he’s finding himself but what I’m not feeling is the whole over sexualized demeanor. He’s starting to become a show pony and that is just a turn off in so many ways. We get it, you’re out and proud but eventually it goes form liberated to cliche in seconds.
His antics are falling into the stigma that most people have of gay men in the first place.
I like that he is expressive and innovative in his approach to his videos. I like that he is comfortable in his skin and don’t care about the haters.
